Asian Style Cabbage Soup

 Asian Style Cabbage Soup

adapted from How to Cook Everything (1998)


Makes 3 servings                            0 WW Blue points

1/2 lb Napa cabbage, shredded

Cooking spray

1 medium onion, sliced

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 1/2 tsp peeled minced, fresh ginger

1 Tbsp soy sauce

2 1/2 cups chicken stock

Chopped scallions, green part only


  1. In a pot costed with cooking spray, cook the cabbage and onion until soft and beginning to brown a little.
  2. Add the ginger and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the stock and soy sauce and cook for another 15 minutes.
  4. Ladle into bowls and top with scallions. Serve.
