Green Beans with Slivered Almonds & Shallots

Toasted slivered almonds and sautéed shallots make your green beans fancy.

Makes 3 servings                                                     0 WW Blue points / serving

1/2 lb. green beans (long thin haricots verts, if available)

Cooking spray

1 Tbsp. slivered almonds

1/2 shallot minced

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the beans and blanch for 3 minutes, may take a little longer if using regular green beans; Drain.
  3. In a small sauté pan coated with cooking spray, toast the almonds.
  4. Add the shallots and beans and cook until the shallots have softened and the beans are warmed.
