Chile Garlic Oil

Chile Garlic Oil

You can use this oil as a garnish, for grilling chicken or fish or in stir-fries.

Any crushed red pepper you have on hand can be substituted for the Aleppo pepper.


Makes 1/2 cup                                                                1 WW Blue point / tsp.

1/2 cup vegetable oil

8 large garlic cloves, sliced

1 Tbsp. crushed Aleppo pepper 


  1. Heat the oil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add the garlic and crushed Aleppo pepper.
  3. Simmer until the garlic is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Strain into a heat proof container.
  5. Transfer to a bottle to store.
