Sauerkraut with Caraway
adapted from Bon Appetit November 2010
The addition of the caraway give you hints of rye bread.
1 lb. sauerkraut, drained
1 cup water
3/4 tsp. caraway seeds
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to medium and continue to cook until the liquid has evaporated and the caraway flavor is incorporated.
- Use in place of plain sauerkraut in your favorite recipes.
