Fresh Green Beans with Garlic
adapted from Taste of Home April / May 2014
1/2 lb. green beans, trimmed
2 garlic cloves, sliced
1/4 cup homemade chicken stock or canned broth
Kosher salt & Freshly ground pepper
- Coat a skillet with cooking spray and sauté garlic until just golden. Remove from the pan and reserve.
- Add a little more cooking spray and sauté the beans until tender crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add the stock. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered until tender and the broth is almost evaporated, stirring frequently.
- Return the garlic to the pan and season to taste with salt and pepper before serving.
