Poached Shrimp

 Poached Shrimp

Makes 1-2 servings                                                        0 WW Blue points

1/2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 quart water

1/8 tsp red pepper flakes

4 black peppercorns

2 garlic cloves, smashed

1 bay leaf

1/2 lemon, sliced

few sprigs of fresh parsley


  1. Put all ingredients except shrimp in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add shrimp, cover and remove from heat. Leave undisturbed about about 5 minutes.
  3. Drain the shrimp and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
