Pulled Turkey

 Pulled Turkey

Makes about 2 cups of pulled turkey        1 ounce = 1 WW Blue point



Cooking spray

1/3 large onion, sliced

1/4 cup chopped carrots

1/3 yellow bell pepper, chopped

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2/3 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp ground cumin

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

3 cups beef broth

2 large turkey wings, skin removed


  1. Coat a saucepan with cooking spray.
  2. Add the onion, carrot and pepper and cook until the vegetables are soft. about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic, and spices and mix well. cook for another minute.
  4. Add the turkey wings, turning to make sure they are coated in the spices.
  5. Add the beef broth. If the wings are not covered by the liquid add a little more to make sure they are covered.
  6. Bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook for about 2 hours until the meat is tender.
  7. Allow to cook and shred. Use as you would use pulled pork.
