Stove Smoked Chicken Breasts

 Stove Smoked Chicken Breasts

We love smoked food but setting up the outdoor smoker especially during colder weather is a hassle for two people. So I bought myself a stovetop smoker. Alternative ways to cook the chicken can be on a grill or in a 400F oven.

  1. Place the smoker over the largest burner on your stove top.
  2. Place 1 Tbsp of wood chips in the middle of the smoker tray.
  3. Top with the drip pan that has been covered with foil.
  4. Insert rack that has been covered with cooking spray.
  5. Coat your chicken breasts with the rub of your choice (We like to try different rubs so we frequently make different ones at the same time.) and place on the rack.
  6. Partially cover with the top of the smoker. When you start seeing wafts of smoke cover completely.

  7. Smoke for 20 - 30 minutes depending on the size of the chicken breasts or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
