Back from Aruba

Just back from the Divi Aruba Phoenix celebrating our 10 anniversary (a little early). The view for our room was fantastic.

The surf from one said of the island to the other was dramatically different. Both of these pics were taken on the first day.

Romance was in abundance will beautiful sunsets and dining on the beach with your toes in the sand at Flying Fishbone. http://www.flyingfishbone.com/

When I go away I like to try to local cuisine. Much of Aruba is Americanized. Subway, Little Caesars, McDonalds, Burger King, Sbarro abound. After a few failed attempts to get truly local cuisine we were directed to Nos Cunucu. They have no website and the phone number is unlisted (011-297-582-7122). Warren (my husband) had kabritu stew, a goat stew which was to die for. I had Keeshi Jena - Dutch Gouda Cheese stuffed with a chicken casserole.

Starting this blog was a whim. Next time I will take pictures of the plates.
